The Quotes

Most of Shaun's books feature lyrics or quotes taken from songs, plays, poems, books about philosophy and more, particularly at their start and end. I've painstakingly ploughed through each book, found them all and listed them on this page. Whether it's someone's car stereo blasting out a Metallica tune or an apt line from the Bible, they'll be on this page, as well as where they are from.

Shaun hasn't always presented the quotes verbatim, but this section shows the quotes exactly as seen in the books and also links to the quotes in their original form.

If the quote has a icon next to it you can click on it and be taken to an external website for a more complete transcript of the text.

If the quote has a icon next to it you can see the piece of artwork sometimes described in a book.

Some of the quotes are hard to track down, so if you can fill in any of the gaps then please e-mail me. Also, if I've missed a quote, you find a link that's died or if you know of any better sites than ones I have linked to, please get in touch.
